Have you ever had that kind of thought? -Wow, if I had known that before, I had made different. But, before you start to feel a little nostalgic, please let me say that this is not a text about regrets or melancholy. Those are just a couple of lessons that I learned from the worst way and I would like to highlight.

Think beyond your bubble

There are different solutions beyond what you or somebody else are thinking. Stop trying to shape your problems into the shape of your limited current solutions. The world is not only what you already know. By the way, I’m not talking about Design questions.

It will not be easy, but money comes later

Pick your opportunities based on the challenge, that one that teaches you something new and gets you out of your comfort zone, not based only on money. Or you risk getting some money and a completely mediocre career. If you are the best on the table, you are on the wrong table.

The adult life will hit harder

At some point in your life, if you be afraid to make a decision based on the consequences, think about the worst-case scenario. This may not be the end of the world. You are just facing your challenges at the grown level.

Pride can be a stupid thing

Don’t be tied to your previous life goals. At some point your life will change — again, your friends will change, more than once, and the way you used to see the world around you, probably will also change. Don’t be afraid to change your plans.

To be continued…
